The Hario Buono kettle offers both a technical and aesthetic advantage when using a pourover method of brewing like the wonderful Hario V60. The small thin spout enables an accurate pour of hot water into the grinds at the pre-infusion step, ensuring all are saturated equally, and then enables you to accurately fill the pourover with out overturbulating the grinds. Then there’s the aesthetic advantage: it’s beautiful and it turns the making of a pourover into a fine ritual.
The Hario kettle can be boiled on a stove but many, including us, prefer to decant from another source, like an electric kettle.

of course, transferring water will no longer be an issue when the new electric Buono kettle comes out in the states this year.
