Malawi’s 650 acre Sable Coffee Estate located at an altitude of 4,200 ft in the Tea growing Southern Highlands of Malawi near Blantyre, and is recognized as being a “model” premium coffee estate. The estate was originally established in the 1990’s by the British Government’s CDC (Commonwealth Development Corporation) as a local coffee training farm. It specialised in excellent processing, conditioning and storage facilities. Around 2002 the CDC sold the estate to a local Malawian tea plantation owner, who is maintaining the quality, consistency and high reputation this excellent coffee estate enjoys.
Taste notes: This coffee is renowned for its smoothness, medium acidity, chocolate, spicy, blackberry flavour and excellent body. A remarkable African coffee that has many Central America characteristics.
